FAQ - What Size?
FAQ – –Measuring and sizing vintage items.
Because vintage clothing in some cases is handmade and that generally sizes do not conform to modern sizing from the high street multiple clothing chains, comparing the actual measurements of the garment and comparing to you own +/or one of your own garments that fits you well is advisable.
Where we use a size category it is to give a general indication.
We measure our garments in inches using a soft tape held taut by measuring each area horizontally and vertically.This is done with the garment laid flat and slightly taut as it would be on the body.
The measurements that we take for each garment:
- Shoulders: Shoulder to shoulder tip,seam to seam with the tape laid flat.
- Bust/Chest: Front and back from underarm seam to seam.
- Sleeves: From shoulder seam to the end of the cuff.
- Sleeve width: Seam to seam at the biceps x 2
- Length: From shoulder to hem.
- Waist: Seam to seam x 2.
- Hips: From the widest point across 7 inches below the waistline x 2.
- In-step/In-seam: From crotch to bottom of the hem.

FAQ - What Condition?
This is the guide to how we classify the condition.
FAQ – Condition;
Near-perfect vintage condition, no visible stains,tears,holes or other imperfections or discolouration
May show some very minor wearer discolouration from light usage but nothing major that detracts from the wearability of the item.
May have some imperfection(s)in the fabric, button-holes, zipper, stitching, lining, minor stain(s) or hole(s)

Once we start packing your order you will receive an email with the collection and delivery details.Thereafter you will be able to track your order by logging into your account.

All orders will be dispatched by DPD or Royal mail First Class recorded delivery within the UK, and by airmail to all other destinations where the order is accepted.
Please note that need a valid Post Code. orders cannot be dispatched without one. If you provide an incorrect address, including the postcode,we do not accept any responsibility for non delivery.
We aim to dispatch your order with three working days where possible,unless the next day delivery option where available has been selected.
If your order item(s) are available today, you should receive your order with the times specified by Royal mail or DPD.This is usually within six working days excluding weekends and bank holidays.Usually delivery to rural postcodes can require up to an additional 4 days.
Shipping is to residential addresses only within in the UK.
You may find the expected delivery dates at the Checkout stage of your online order, and on your Order Confirmation email. These can also be found by logging into your Shop Online account, using the my account option at the top of the page. If your items have different delivery dates, you can choose multiple deliveries or wait and have everything delivered at the same time. If you choose multiple deliveries, we will send the remainder of the items as soon as they are in stock and you will only pay for the first delivery.
You can edit your order before shipping,by using the ‘my account section or by calling us on 0207-700-2354 with your order ID
If you have a pending order please check the delivery time.
To save you additional delivery charges, new orders can be combined with pending orders and have them delivered all at once at a later date. If you wish to receive available items earlier, you can alter this setting by logging in to ‘My account’-Pending orders and changing your delivery setting from ‘all in one package’ to ‘separate packages’.

Our returns policy as stated here applies to Website purchases,and not to purchases made in person at the warehouse or shop.

We do our best to accurately and honestly describe the condition of our items according to the ‘condition’ guide above.
All our items are pre-worn except where otherwise stated and are subject to some wear,therefore some imperfection(s)
If your item(s) differ from the description and you require a refund,please notify us via email within 48 hours.
The item(s) must be received by us within seven days.Returns received after seven days can only be issued with a credit note. We do not refund the cost of postage and packaging.
If you wish to return an item in order to receive a credit note or exchange, please note the following:
- all items must be unworn
- all original tags must be attached
- all items must be returned in the same condition as they were when sent to you.
- all items must be returned in a saleable condition.
We will not accept Returns where:
- the original tags have been removed or altered.
- the original tag or label has been re-attached
- the item appears in any way to have been worn and/or has a discernible odour.
- the item is no longer saleable
Please do not cut the tags off the items before trying them on,or’ re-attach’ the tags.
We also ask that you do not try on or wear the items if:
- you are wearing perfume
- you are in an environment where there is tobacco smoke.
- you have recently applied make up, body lotion, deodorant, or any other cosmetic item which is liable to stain or affect clothing.

FAQ - Where is my item?
FAQ – Where is my item:
n the event that your item is delayed,lost or stolen during transit we will make every effort to assist you by tracking it ourselves and contacting the courier directly on your behalf.
Should an item be damaged,lost or stolen in transit the statutory delay as specified by the courier before the item(s) can be considered as such will apply.
We (21stcenturyretro ltd T/A Blue17.co.uk) in no circumstances whatsoever accept responsibility for goods damaged,lost or stolen in transit while in the hands of a third-party courier.
In the event of the above arising we will not issue a refund or credit note until the third-party courier has indemnified us through insurance for the claim on your behalf.
By use of this site and purchasing from us you accept the above and will not have any entitlement to compensation from us without us being indemnified first.
