Where the Security code, Postcode, Address and Country are not matched, either in full or partially, we will endevour to contact the customer to see if an alternative payment method can be arranged.

A contract between you and 21stcenturyretro Ltd T/A Blue17 vintage is created when we send you e-mail confirmation that the item(s) which you ordered have been dispatched to you.

Where an item(s) purchased on our website through the checkout process is found by us to be out of stock, not as described in the original listing, or unavailable for whatever reason, we will notify the purchaser and try to offer a similar replacement if one is available, subject to the purchasers agreement.

In the case where no substitute is available or the buyer declines a replacement, we will issue a full refund if payment was made.

Once an item(s) has been ordered and the “local pickup” shipping option selected, if paid, we will hold the item(s) for fourteen days for collection in person at our store at 162, Holloway road, London, N78DD. Goods not collected after this period will be refunded and put back into stock on our website.

For items ordered online through our website, where the “local pickup” shipping option has been selected at checkout and not paid prior to collection in person at our store, we reserve the right to cancel the transaction after seven days, if the item(s) have not been paid for and collected.

By using our site, you consent to such processing and you warrant that all data provided by you is accurate.

You must not attempt to gain unauthorized access to our site, the server on which our site is stored or any server, computer or database connected to our site.

Should an item be damaged, lost or stolen in transit the statutory delay as specified by the courier before the item(s) can be considered as such will apply.

In the event of the above arising we will not issue a refund or credit note until the third-party courier has indemnified us through insurance for the claim on your behalf.

By use of this site and purchasing from us you accept the above and will not have any entitlement to compensation from us without us being indemnified first.

In the event of us not receiving your payment, we will notify you as soon as possible.

It is then your responsibility to trace the payment and inform us of the situation within 48 hours or your order may be cancelled.

For purchases made online and unpaid, marked with the shipping option chosen to be collected from our store at 162, Holloway road, N78DD, London we reserve the right to cancel the sale if unpaid after fourteen days and to restock the item in our inventory.

Credit card payments are the responsibility of the card issuer and we will not be responsible for any claims arising whatsoever where the card issuer or your bank is in error.

We do our best to accurately and honestly describe the condition of our items according to the ‘condition’ guide above.

All our items are pre-worn except where otherwise stated and are subject to some wear, therefore some imperfection(s)

If your item(s) differ from the description and you require a refund, please notify us via email within 48 hours.

Please quote your order number when notifying us via email of a return.

The item(s) must be received by us within fourteen days. Returns received after fourteen days can only be issued with a credit note. We do not refund the cost of postage and packaging.

If you wish to return an item in order to receive a credit note or exchange, please note the following:

• all items must be unworn

• all original tags must be attached

• all items must be returned in the same condition as they were when sent to you.

• all items must be returned in a sale-able condition.

We will not accept Returns where:

The original tags have been removed or altered.

• the original tag or label has been re-attached

• the item appears in any way to have been worn, and/or has a discernible odor.

• the item is no longer sale-able

Please note

Please do not cut the tags off the items before trying them on, or’ re-attach’ the tags.

we also ask that you do not try on or wear the items if:

• you are wearing perfume

• you are in an environment where there is tobacco smoke.

• you have recently applied make up, body lotion, deodorant, or any other cosmetic item which is liable to stain or affect clothing.

We have many thousands of items that are not on display including a large collection of vintage fabrics and trimmings from the late 1800’s to the 1990’s.

If there is a specific requirement for your project, please ask and we will tell you if we can assist.

Our terms are:

• Full refundable deposit for items borrowed.

• Official ID or covering letter on headed paper from the publication/company concerned.

• Written confirmation of publication credit where our items are used/featured.

• All items to be returned within the agreed deadline.

• All items to be returned in the same condition that they were when taken.

• Publication/company agrees full responsibility for loss or damage and agrees to compensate us fully in the event.
